I think Kelly McGonigal touched on this in her “making stress your friend” Ted Talk when referring to oxytocin being released during times of stress — but never saw the actual study on this, or the details you write about. Thanks for this article, it will be very helpful both for those of us experiencing stress and anxiety, and those of us who are helping others with their well-being. (and yes, some of us fall into both categories!)
