How Can Couples Find Time to Connect as the Pandemic Continues?

some quick tips, because that is all you have time for!

For those of us who have been “lucky” enough to be spending some of the pandemic isolated with our significant other (not to mention kids — but this isn’t about them this time) we may be losing some of the couple resilience we had in reserve to see us through rough times.

In this article, the Greater Good In Action recommends having at least 90 minutes of couple time a week. Some of the suggestions are out during a pandemic, but others could be tried, even if you have to wait until the kids are asleep.

(when do the kids sleep?! That is a problem parents have been dealing with for eons!)

Think about those activities that sparked your relationship. How can you re-experience them? Right now you may not be able to do that romantic getaway, but you can have some fun checking out future possibilities on the web.

Maybe have a campout in your bedroom, or a luau in your living room.

Yes, all of this could also make for fun family time. However, that doesn’t count as couple time. Setting aside time to read this article together, as inspiration, is a step in the right direction. Maybe start with 10 minutes for just the two of you!
